No — and it's not trying to be. ChordGenAI is built for function and house band players, dep gigs, pit musicians, instrumental teachers, and musicians learning large setlists quickly. If you need forensic, studio-perfect micro-analysis, this isn't that product. If you need rehearsal-ready charts fast — it is.
ChordGenAI is benchmarked against 119 professionally-annotated songs. Root accuracy on pop, function band, and country material: 87–92%. Bar alignment is consistent and repeatable. Repeat sections align cleanly. Median edits per track are low. It produces charts that work. If something is wrong, it's usually obvious and quick to correct.
For a direct file upload: typically under 30 seconds. For a YouTube link: slightly longer, usually under 45 seconds. A progress indicator is always visible. The same track produces the same chart every time.
MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, and OGG. Maximum file size 25MB. You can also paste a YouTube URL directly.
Yes. For best accuracy, upload a clean MP3 or WAV. YouTube links are supported but compression may reduce harmonic clarity slightly and extraction adds processing time. If maximum precision matters, upload the audio directly.
Every analysis runs a multi-signal audio pipeline on dedicated GPU hardware — source separation, three chord recognition models, a corpus-trained sequence model, and a key-aware Theory Engine. A single analysis costs real compute. 3 analyses per month is enough to evaluate quality on your actual repertoire before committing.
ChordGenAI stabilises harmony for playability. Passing colours may be simplified, very short chord changes may be removed, and extensions are handled conservatively. The goal is a chart you can use immediately. If you prefer a different colour, edit it in iReal Pro™.
Yes. iReal Pro™ exports are fully editable. PDFs are read-only and designed for clean printing. Most users make zero or one small tweak. iReal Pro™ is a third-party application. ChordGenAI is not affiliated with or endorsed by iReal Pro™.
No. The primary target is pop, rock, indie, soul, theatre, and function-band repertoire. Jazz-heavy reharmonisation and dense EDM are outside this product's scope. It's a rehearsal tool, not a reharmonisation engine.
Yes. If you're not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid charge, contact support@chordgenai.io for a full refund. No questions asked.
ChordGenAI omits the time signature when it detects non-standard meter (6/8, 3/4, or irregular time). The chord progression is still accurate — bar grouping should be verified against the original recording. Common examples: Somebody To Love, Hallelujah, Nothing Else Matters.
